No More Snow, Make It Stop!

I think even people who love winter and snow have had enough.  As yet another round of snow is falling outside, all I can think is, No More Snow!  Make it stop!  There’s no more room for more snow!

Yes, snow and winter can be beautiful.  These are a couple of my favorite shots of when the lake froze and we took the dogs out to play.  Lokie is saying, Wait for me!

Of course, we waited until we saw other people in the middle of the frozen lake before venturing out ourselves.  Didn’t want to have to perform a rescue operation in the middle of the lake.

And while this is a beautiful shot,

this is not as nice,

no more snow

and at this point, I’d much rather see this.

Would you rather being doing this,

no more snow

or this?

Wait, how come Jim gets to paddle board while I’m shoveling snow?

That’s better.  I’ll play in the sand, and let Jim shovel the snow.

no more snow

With Lokie supervising.

It took Jim almost 3 hours to drive home from work the other day in a snow storm, and when he finally got home, he stormed into the house and said, “That’s it!  I’ve had it with the snow.  We’re out of here!”

And if you know Jim, you know he doesn’t storm so the snow must have really gotten to him.

Is it my imagination or is it getting colder and snowier every year?  Now I understand why snow birds run away in the winters.

One more question.  Would you rather be here looking at this,

no more snow

and this,

no more snow

or somewhere warm looking at this?

It’s a no brainer for me.

  • Yes, make it stop!! Poor Jim! One of our neighbors says it took him 6 hours to get home and he had no food or water in his car :(. My husband is trying to work from home which we both have found is near impossible. Our son usually loves sledding and building snowmen, but even that doesn’t excite him anymore because he has done it so many times this winter. I keep reminding myself how lucky we are to still have electricity!

    • Yes, you are right – we are lucky that we have electricity! But hopefully we will have electricity and warm weather soon 🙂 I’m sure your son would rather be running around outside in the sunshine than build another snowman!

  • personally id rather have the snow.. having just done an Aussie summer with to many back to back 35-40 degree sunny days.. i am glad its now autumn..the heat restricts everything you do,every thing you can do,every where you go & how you feel when you do.. so i hear what your saying
